Simple things can at times become the most profound. Look at small grains of seed. Seed comes in all sizes, shapes, and colors. The end purpose of all, however, is to reproduce. Most of us have had the experience of putting seed into the ground and watching with wonder as the earth produces a bounty. It has been customary for generations for a part of that harvest to be saved back, for the start of next year's crops. This scenario constantly repeated, has marked the pages of our past history. At one time over ninety percent of our population was involved in farming, so I am told. Seed and food are intertwined to support human life. Seed, rich soil and hard working people has been the combination that our heavenly Father has used to build our great nation.

Could such a simple process, one that actually undergirds our lives, our very civilization be changed? This seems to be a natural, God-given process that is fully ingrained in our way of life. Food is life and to have food one must have seed. Seed may look simple, but they are deeply profound!

What would happen if some individual or some Corporation gained control over our food supply? Control of any product carries with it a certain amount of power. The more important a product is, the more power that control would bring. Is there any product more important than our food? He who controls our seed supply controls our food supply. Joseph did it in Egypt. Many dictators have done it throughout history. "We are what we eat" is an adage we hear often. "An army marches on its stomach" is another common one. A powerful control over any people is the control of their food supply.

Michael White, the author of this book, believes there is attempt being made by a global corporation to gain control of our seed supply. He details many events from his own experience and many other farmers in the United States. Facts and figures are given that should cause you to pause and reflect on what is happening here in the land of the free! With food prices rising and so many farmers leaving or being forced out of the business, someone needs to become concerned of the plight with the farmer.

I have known Michael since he was a small boy. He is a boyhood friend of my own son. I was his pastor for possibly thirty years. He is a dedicated Christian. He has been a farmer all of his life as was his father before him. He has worked hard and shown that independent entrepreneurial spirit that is prevalent in so many American farmers. You will read how he fought to maintain that good life he had built.

You will read in this book how our farmers are harassed and strangled as they try to continue to feed us. You will also be made aware of the difficulty which they face as they, with limited resources, try to fight back against ruthless regulations which favor the huge corporations. With seemingly unlimited funds, compared to individual farmers, these groups of high powered lawyers and corporations grasp for more control and more power each year. Are our courts and judges asleep? How can corporations dodge those time honored, landmark decisions such as the Sherman Anti-trust Act and others like it? Who is big enough to challenge them? "Is there no balm in Gilead?"

Michael White also sees another factor entering this conflict. He is a deeply spiritual man and is a student of Bible Prophecy. He believes sincerely that the "Man of Sin," that charismatic strong man of Daniel and Revelation, will come one day with his one world rule and government. His trump cards will not only include false religion and great military power but will also include the control of food hence the control of seed! Is the head of that dragon appearing? (Revelation 13:17)

Read this book carefully and prayerfully before you make your decision. As author Frances Bacon said, "This book must be digested."
